Another day, another story about the Trump cabinet's impressively lax digital security. Following on from the Signal group chat leak, we now have a growing number of blunders to add to the list, from Venmo lists to passwords and personal details.

"This scandal won't be going away anytime soon, because Mike Waltz has made a key strategic error: Being an idiot everywhere at all times," says Stephen Colbert in the Late Show clip above, referring to the recent Wired report that national security advisor Waltz had left his Venmo friends list public for all to see. "So who were Mike Waltz's Venmo buddies? A bunch of politicians, a couple lobbyists, as well as some of his personal vendors like real estate agents, a tailor, and doctors. He's Venmo'ing his doctor? My man, if your doctor takes Venmo, that ain't a doctor."

Colbert goes on to talk about another recent report from Der Spiegel that revealed the personal data and passwords of top officials – including Mike Waltz – were accessible online.

"These are our highest ranking security officials!" says Colbert. "I don't think we should trust these people with anything top secret. Hell, I don't think we should trust these people with anything Pop Secret."
