Is it just me?
Or have this week’s confirmation hearings been the best ever?
We’ve had great moments, but one really stuck out.
Trump’s Attorney General nominee Pam Bondi pulled no punches in her Senate hearing today.
Instead, she delivered a powerful message to the American people: The DOJ’s blatant weaponization against Catholics must end.
It was a fierce condemnation: “Going after parents at a school board meeting has got to stop… sending in informants to Catholic churches must stop.”
For years, Catholics have borne the brunt of the DOJ’s misuse of power. And CatholicVote has been sounding the alarm about the dangerous trend of the government targeting Catholics – whether that was labeling us “extremists” for standing firm on life and family or the FBI spying on Catholics and calling us “domestic terrorists” just for attending Mass.
It wasn’t just an attack on the Church. It was an all-out attack on our most basic religious freedoms.
The government has tried to silence us, intimidate us, and shame us for standing firm in our faith. But despite these efforts, the Church and the faithful have persevered.
Now, everything is changing.
And it’s all because of you.
With your help, CatholicVote elevated this issue to the national level. President Trump responded by joining our cause and promising to end the targeting of Catholics. We are encouraged that his nominee Pam Bondi is ready to remedy this injustice.
Since whistleblowers exposed the “Richmond memo,” proving that the FBI encouraged multiple field offices to send informants into Catholic parishes and diocesan offices, we have worked tirelessly to amplify the message.
We even sued the FBI.
We got the attention of allies like Senator Marco Rubio (soon to be Secretary of State) and then-Senator JD Vance.
But that wasn’t enough. We had to win the White House and take back the DOJ itself.
And we did. Catholics delivered the vote to Donald Trump.
Nominees like former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi wouldn’t be facing the Senate today if we had lost the election – people who will put Americans first, defend freedom, and fairly and faithfully uphold the law.
The tide is turning. The voices of everyday Catholics who stood up for their faith in the voting booth are now being heard in Washington.
Now is the time to take action – to hold government officials and our elected representatives accountable. We cannot allow this government overreach to go unchecked any longer.
Pam Bondi’s bold stance is just the beginning. So let’s stand with her in demanding an end to the DOJ’s attacks on Catholics and religious liberty.
This is our moment to reform America.
Pray for Pam Bondi.
Pray for wisdom and strength for all of our leaders.
Pray for our great nation.
