ST. LOUIS – Charges have been filed against a man accused of driving drunk and causing a crash that killed a St. Louis police officer over the weekend.

Officer David Lee was killed Sunday morning after responding to a one-vehicle crash on eastbound Interstate 70 near Grand Boulevard around 8:30 a.m., according to St. Louis Police Chief Robert Tracy.

This story just keeps getting worse and worse.

First of all, a police officer assisting a motorist was struck and killed; then we find out the driver was drunk, and did not have a valid driver's license; then we find out he was in the US illegally; and then we find out he was already on probation for a domestic violence charge in 2020.

We are losing good Americans to people who should never be here.

It makes me sick to my stomach to say it, but this is the new normal. We have millions of illegals in this country who have no skills and no respect for our laws.

Trump 2.0 *might* put be able to put a brake on this, but I doubt if he can reverse it. Harris will hit the accelerator.

I’m also concerned about the gradual corruption of our public officials by cartel money. Would a morally weak deputy making $40,000 a year be tempted by a $100,000 cartel bribe?

Perhaps 50 years from now an honest historian will rank Biden’s presidency at the very bottom. Little good that does us now.
