Yet again, a dangerous criminal who had been freed on cashless bail — a far-left “justice reform” to terrorize law abiding citizens — is the suspect in a near-fatal stabbing.
The accused: Delvin Dobbins. Pittsburgh cops allege that Dobbins stabbed a co-worker at a bus station on October 1. But Dobbins shouldn’t have been at the bus station. He was out on cashless bail after an arrest in the stabbing of another man on September 23.
But at least the victim in the second stabbing is alive. Iryna Zarutska — stabbed to death on a subway train in Charlotte, North Carolina — is not. The suspect in her murder, DeCarlos Brown Jr., had been arrested more than a dozen times.

Released on Promise to Appear
The scene of the second stabbing in which the 19-year-old thug is accused was, not surprisingly, at a busway named for Martin Luther King Jr., the “civil rights” leader and binge-drinking accomplice to rape.
That aside, cops say that Dobbins “stabbed the man multiple times after an argument at the East Liberty station on the Martin Luther King Jr. busway,” TribLive.com reported:
Witnesses told police that Dobbins had crossed the busway from the inbound to outbound sides, engaging in a verbal argument with the other man before a physical altercation began, according to a criminal complaint. Dobbins then stabbed the man multiple times and fled the scene, the complaint said.
One witness, who observed the incident from a bus, told police: “I felt like he was trying to kill him, I guess.”
The wounded man was listed in serious but stable condition as of Friday.
The two worked at Home Depot. The store cashiered Dobbins after he threatened the victim in a “dispute over a female coworker,” TribLive.com reported of the criminal complaint against Dobbins.
Dobbins, the complaint alleges, threatened to “fold him like an armadillo,” the website continued.
Dobbins faces charges of “attempted homicide, aggravated assault, possessing an instrument of crime and recklessly endangering another person.” Thankfully enough, he is still in jail. This time, the judge didn’t spring him on the flimsy promise that he would appear in court.
That wasn’t the case in the September 23 stabbing in which Dobbins is the suspect.
“Police said he stabbed a man in the stomach in the 5000 block of Penn Avenue after a fight,” the website continued:
A witness who captured the Sept. 23 incident on a dashcam gave Dobbins’ description, and police arrested him after a brief foot chase that ended in officers tasing Dobbins, a separate complaint said. Dobbins reportedly carried a bloodied knife with him, police said.
A day later, a judge released him. Court records did not immediately name the judge.
Speaking on a radio interview, Pittsburgh Police Chief Jason Lando said “the man’s intestines were protruding” when cops found him.
“How can that be?” Lando asked:
He just stabbed someone in the stomach a week ago. Surely he would still be in jail.
A 19-year-old charged with stabbing a man in Pittsburgh so badly his intestines were hanging out was released the SAME DAY without posting a dime.
Eight days later, he’s the prime suspect in ANOTHER stabbing.

“Earlier that month, Dobbins had also been charged with felony trespassing and later released on non-monetary bond,” TribLive.com continued:
The charges are listed under “Delvon Dobbins,” though the man has the same birthday as “Delvin Dobbins.”
On Sept. 4, police say Dobbins broke into the home of his former foster parent. … The foster parent told police he had obtained a Protection From Abuse order against Dobbins and did not want him in the house anymore, according to a third complaint.
But after that crime, he was free as a bird the same day.
Yet the story gets even worse, TribLive.com reported. When he was 16, Dobbins was arrested and charged with aggravated assault after, police allege, “he shot a man as he was taking out the trash in the South Side.”
The website reported that it could not determine how that case turned out.
Zarutska’s Murder
Yet the lesson from the repeated release of violent-crime suspects — cashless bail or no — was lost not only on the judge who freed Dobbins, but also on those who repeatedly released Decarlos Brown Jr. before he finally murdered Zarutska in an openly racial knife attack. Brown had 14 arrests.
Video shows Brown attack the Ukrainian refugee. “I got the white girl,” he bragged. He falsely claimed “she called me a ni**er.”

He was ruled incompetent to stand trial for the state and federal charges against him.
But Brown never should have been on the street, his long criminal history showed. His only serious sentence was less than a decade in prison after assaulting and robbing a man while using a handgun.
His mother claims he is schizophrenic. In January 2025, Brown called 911 and told cops “he had been given a ‘man-made’ material that controlled when he ate, walked, and talked,” CBS affiliate WBTV reported. A judge ordered him to undergo a “forensic evaluation.”
On August 22, 2025, prosecutors allege, he knifed Zarutska to death.
Dobbins’ victims nearly suffered the same fate.
