Tate McRae is shaping up to fire on all cylinders next year with the announcement of her upcoming album “So Close to What” along with the 2025 global “Miss Possessive Tour.”

The pop star is slated to release her third studio album “So Close to What” on Feb. 21 via RCA Records. As a preview of the record, the Canadian singer is dropping her new single “2 Hands” this afternoon, arriving a few months after her previous single “It’s OK I’m OK” dropped in Sept.

McRae plans to parlay the momentum into the global “Miss Possessive Tour,” which spans 50 dates across South America, Europe, United Kingdom and United States. The trek kicks off on March 18 at Mexico City’s Pepsi Centre, with dates planned for London, Berlin, Dublin and more. She’ll swing back Stateside next summer for dates in her native Canada before sweeping through New York City’s Madison Square Garden and wrapping at Los Angeles’ Kia Forum on Sept. 26.

Her new album and tour come after a breakthrough year for McRae, whose sophomore album “Think Later” peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard 200. It spawned a pair of hit singles — “Greedy” and “Exes” — plus her “Think Later World Tour” that had her on the road for the better part of 2024.
