Teen’s death ruled an accident months after she vanished from boat party

The death of a teenager who was pulled from a Kentucky lake after going missing during a boat party with her friends was accidental, a grand jury ruled.

There was no evidence of a struggle or a traumatic injury after the body of Marly Kinney, 19,  was pulled from Grayson Lake Sunday, the Carter County Commonwealth Attorney announced.

All of Kinney’s personal items, such as her swimsuit and jewelry, were intact and undisturbed, according to the prosecutors.

The medical examiner’s findings were consistent with drowning, but her postmortem blood alcohol concentration was noted at 0.268%, the attorney said.
