A Texas mother said she and her young family have been trapped in their home after a pack of stray pit bulls took over her neighborhood.

Janelle Hobbs said she 'can't even walk out my front door' because a group of four of the aggressive canines ambush her every time she leaves her Harris County home.

She said she has been forced to slip in and out of her garage to avoid the pit bulls, and has even had to keep her 20-month-old daughter Ramona inside .

'She's my life, she's my everything,' Hobbs told ABC13. 'I'd like to take my daughter out in a stroller, get her out in the open, and I won't even do that. It's terrifying.'

Surveillance footage captured the moment Hobbs was almost attacked by the dogs, an occurrence she said is all too frequent whenever she opens her front gate.

'If anyone comes to my gate, they're (the dogs) are on it,' she added.

She said she has been left frustrated by a lack of action from local officials and has been warning locals to avoid her home.

ABC13 reported that moments before her interview, they saw Hobbs warn two women across the street: 'You need to go, those dogs are aggressive and will attack.'

Hobbs said she has been forced to escape the pit bulls on numerous occasions, and won't allow her 20-month-old daughter Ramona out their front door because of the dogs

In footage Hobbs shared of the pit bulls ambushing her, she was seen racing back into her front gate before the dogs could reach her.

In another clip, she was seen hurrying a neighbor's dog onto her property, fearing the pit bulls could attack.

Although Hobbs was able to flee the dogs before they got to her, the mother also shared footage of a delivery man who was not so lucky.

Within moments of arriving at Hobbs' door, the delivery man was set upon by two of the pit bulls - with one of the dogs then biting him on the hand.

Hobbs said after that the dogs attack 'if anyone comes to my gate.'

Hobbs said she believes the four pit bulls have taken over a vacant unit across the street from her home and ambush anyone who tries to enter her front door

The young mother said she has been left frustrated by a lack of action from local officials, and it has been left up to her to warn locals to avoid her home

She said locals believe the four dogs have taken over a vacant unit across the street from her and emerge through a broken window.

A Harris County Animal Control spokesperson told ABC13 that they have received a number of calls about stray dogs in Hobbs' Pine Village North neighborhood.

The agency said it impounded one dog a week prior, but that was the only one they could find.

Hobbs said she has been left frustrated by officials not removing all four dogs.

'I hope somebody comes and gets them,' she concluded.
