A trip to the zoo took a shocking turn for one family after a troop of monkeys hijacked a pushchair.
In a video shared on social media, a parent can be seen pushing a stroller while holding a toddler in his arms when a mischievous monkey appeared at Shoushan Zoo in Taiwan.
Looking panicked, the man started to back away, keeping one hand on the stroller.
But suddenly another monkey came racing over. One of the primates managed to grab hold of the pram, causing the man to lose his balance.
He fell to the ground with the toddler as the child’s mother, who was filming the video, screamed in the background.
One monkey then ran off with an item that had fallen out of one of the bags attached to the stroller. The other primate started to rummage through the family’s belongings.
The man can be seen getting up in a state of disbelief while his son continued to cry - visibly upset and scared by the incident.
In more footage taken after the incident, a troop of monkeys can be seen fighting close to the stroller.
