A Texas teen was killed in a violent rollover crash just a month before her 19th birthday – with recently released surveillance video showing the moment she lost control of her car.

Serenity Rangel, 18, was en-route to her boyfriend’s home in Dallas when she overturned late Thursday – and an investigation into the fatal crash is underway.

Investigators say Rangel was driving at a high rate of speed which caused her to veer off road and sent her hurtling down an embankment before she overturned on to a service road, Fox4 reported.

Her car rolled over at least three times down the bank, video shared online shows, before sparks flew near two parked vehicles.

Rangel’s car then violently flipped another three times before landing on its roof.

Rangel was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators are yet to reveal an official cause of death – but her family and friends have been stunned by the tragedy.

“What was she thinking?” Jayla Carrizales, a friend, told NBC6.

“Who made her go that fast? What caused it? Was she mad? I wish she would have told me how she felt.”

Rangel, described by her family as a “bright, joyful light that filled every room,” was set to turn 19 on Nov. 29.

“Serenity truly enjoyed life, always getting into something, embracing every moment, and living life to the absolute fullest,” her family said in an obituary.

“She achieved a proud milestone in graduating high school and was actively attending college, stepping confidently into a bright future with her whole life ahead of her.

“As she grew into a young woman, her passion blossomed through makeup and fashion expressing her artistry, beauty, and unique style in everything she touched.”

Rangel’s family said the teen had an “incredible talent for music” and reminisced “one of her favorite pastimes was teasing her brother” when he scrolled on TikTok.

They said she would start singing whatever song played in the video.

“Her time with us was far too short, but her fierce spirit, her laughter, music, her accomplishments and her radiant smile will live on forever in the hearts of those who loved her most,” her family said.
