Looking for an edge with under-the-radar picks in Fantasy Premier League? Well, The 10% Club is back to help following the international break.
The extended international break is finally over, and although you might have a few new injury concerns, that also means Fantasy Premier League returns this weekend.
Indeed, managers opening up their teams may be greeted with red and yellow hazard signs galore after numerous players withdrew either before or during the international window.
However, we have some options in The 10% Club to cover those potential gaps. Using Opta data, here are our five under-the-radar picks for Gameweek 6.
DEF – Tyrick Mitchell | 4.5m | 6.1% Ownership
A hard-fought goalless draw away to Leeds United may have slightly eased the pressure on Pierre Sage, and he will be desperate for Crystal Palace to improve further after the break.
Having kept their first clean sheet of the season at Elland Road, Tyrick Mitchell is an interesting pick for when goal-shy Nottingham Forest visit south east London.
Forest, managed by former Palace boss Oliver Glasner, have scored just four times this season, with only two sides – Tottenham (2) and Coventry City (1) – finding the net on fewer occasions.
No Palace player can better Mitchell’s 24 points this season either, partly due to the attacking threat he can pose.
He’s never been a particularly frequent source of goals, though his two in the league this term is the most of any defender. That could easily have turned to three goals as well, if not for a VAR review seeing Mitchell’s sumptuous strike against Leeds ruled out for an Anan Khalaili offside in the build-up.
It’s worth saying, however, that Mitchell’s two biggest points hauls – 15 against Fulham and 7 against Leeds – came away from home. Sage will have designs on Palace turning around their home form this weekend, though.
Mitchell’s affordable price point could also help managers find room for the likes of James Tarkowski, Josko Gvardiol or Riccardo Calafiori, with the option to leave Mitchell on the bench when Palace visit free-scoring Brighton on GW7.
MID – Harvey Barnes | 6.1m | 5.9% Ownership
Many managers this season are opting to target whoever is playing Coventry. Their 1-0 away win last time out over Forest may have perturbed some, but those sticking to that plan will note they host Newcastle United.
Lewis Hall and Yoane Wissa are both off the cards due to their ownership proportions, but Harvey Barnes has scored the second-most points (28 – behind only Hall’s 31) for Newcastle.
Barnes claimed nine points against Hull City before the break after assisting twice in one Premier League match for the first time since May 2022 (for Leicester City against Norwich City).
He has been Newcastle’s main creative threat this term, leading the way with six chances created and all of them were from open play. Hall is second on the list with five, but that is aided by two from set-pieces.
More goals may not be far away for Barnes. Only Joe Willock (10) and Wissa (9) have had more than his eight shots for Newcastle, though Barnes has just one goal – a stunning strike against Bournemouth on GW3 – to show for his efforts.
Barnes then faces Aston Villa (H), Palace (A), Everton (H) and Fulham (A), and that fairly favourable run may see FPL players splashing out on Newcastle assets.
MID – Julio Enciso | 5.5m | 0.8% Ownership
With Ipswich Town next hosting Fulham, Gary O’Neil will see it as a great chance to pick up three points against Álvaro Arbeloa’s winless side.
Although Julio Enciso is yet to score this season, we believe he could make the difference for Ipswich on GW6. The Paraguayan did also manage two assists from his opening two games.
No Ipswich player has attempted more shots than Enciso’s 17, while his four shots on target is only matched by Emersonn. Abdul Fatawu (1.1) has marginally bettered his 0.9 expected assists (xA), but the winger is suspended after his red card at Everton.

Many managers may still opt for Emersonn, who has scored 11 more points than Enciso’s 15, but the Brazilian striker’s minutes are often being shared with Zian Flemming, dampening the likelihood of a big return.
Leif Davis is another option with 25 points, but it’s unlikely the left-back’s scoring form will continue after two goals in five games.
A clean sheet for Davis is also unlikely; only Chelsea (12) have conceded more goals than Ipswich’s 11, who haven’t managed a shutout in 24 Premier League games.
Enciso’s £5.5m price point also leaves two options for when Ipswich travel to leaders Manchester City the week after. He is cheap enough to bench, or another budget pick – perhaps Fulham’s Josh King at home to Hull – can be brought in.
MID – Mohamed Belloumi | 5.1m | 5.3% Ownership
Mohamed Belloumi may be enjoying the best part of his young career, having made his first senior appearance for Algeria and scoring twice in three internationals over the break.
The tricky winger earned his international bow after managing four goal involvements (two goals, two assists) to start his league campaign, the joint most by a Hull player in their first five Premier League matches.
In FPL terms, Belloumi’s 31 points also leaves him behind only goalkeeper Konstantinos Tzolakis (34) among Hull players. Excluding all goalkeepers and defenders, no player at Belloumi’s £5.1m price point or below can better his points tally (Brentford’s Vitaly Janelt is the next best on 28).
With Everton potentially missing their only left-back, Vitalii Mykolenko, for their next trip to Hull, we’re backing in-form Belloumi to deliver again.
He has had more shots (13) and shots on target (5) than any other Tigers player, producing an attacking return in three of five league games and chipping in with points for defensive contributions once.
If his form stays on a similar level, Belloumi’s 5.3% ownership won’t stick around for long as more managers take note of the Hull winger’s significant output for a small outlay.
FWD – Charalampos Kostoulas | 5.6m | 4.7% Ownership
We’re expecting Charalampos Kostoulas and Brighton to pick up where they left off. He has scored one and assisted another in back-to-back league games, doing so against Arsenal and Coventry for consecutive 10-point hauls.
Stretching further back, the Greek striker has been involved in six goals in his last six appearances for Brighton in all competitions, scoring two and assisting four.
A trip to Sunderland – who shipped five goals at Man City on GW5 – next up may appear tough, but Fabian Hürzeler’s side have will be on cloud nine after easily sweeping aside reigning champions Arsenal before the international break.
There are other options from Hürzeler’s squad, but FPL’s leading points scorer, Pascal Groẞ (47), and Maxim De Cuyper (38) are in more than 10% of teams. Luka Vuskovic (32) is the only other Brighton player to better Kostoulas’s 28 points, but a clean sheet seems less likely at the Stadium of Light.
Kostoulas isn’t just impressing compared to Brighton players. The only forwards to register more FPL points are Erling Haaland (39), João Pedro and Alexander Isak (33 each), and all of them are off The 10% Club’s radar due to their high ownership.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin – in almost 25% of teams as the third-most-selected forward – is another template pick, but he has six fewer points than Kostoulas, highlighting that differential options like the young Greece international can make an impact.
As a budget pick, Kostoulas can also be benched if prospective managers don’t fancy upcoming fixtures against Liverpool (A) and Man City (A) after Palace visit the Amex Stadium on GW7.
Other managers are already taking note, too, with Kostoulas the most bought forward ahead of GW6 – don’t miss out before it’s too late.
