Nice … now can we do something about all of the trash on the street?
Saturday night, the New York Knicks brought home their first NBA title since 1973, getting yet another wild come-from-behind victory against the San Antonio Spurs. The final score was 94-90.
A number of weeks ago, on the other hand, Arsenal won the English Premier League, doing so for the first time since 2003-04. (RELATED: Thierry Henry, Zlatan Ibrahimović Moved After FOX Colleague Alexi Lalas Gets Emotional During US National Anthem)
Each squad has players on their rosters who are absolute stars. For the Knicks, they have guard Jalen Brunson, guard Josh Hart, center Karl-Anthony Towns and forward OG Anunoby. On the Arsenal side, they’re equipped with midfielder Declan Rice, goalkeeper David Raya, forward Bukayo Saka and midfielder Martin Odegaard.
With this being the case, you’d think the players, coaching staff and front office would get the glory for the teams’ success. But it’s 2026 and leftists don’t think normally. and that’s where a certain left-wing sports media outlet takes the spotlight from here.
The Athletic, ladies and gentlemen. For some reason, the failing New York Times-owned brand took to social media Sunday afternoon to declare it “a Zohran Mamdani sports summer” because of the Knicks and Arsenal being champions. If you don’t know, Mamdani is a fan of each team.

Corny, I know, but this is the state of New York City today.
There might be previously mentioned trash all over the streets, there might be giant rats the size of dogs walking around, and murder might be just a normal part of their culture, but at least they can have their “Zohran Mamdani sports summer.”
That city is so cooked it’s not even funny.
