What’s black and white and red all over? The Emmys 2026 red carpet.

Television’s biggest night kicked off awards season in style Monday, with stars including Louisa Jacobson, Grace Gummer and Hannah Einbinder opting for sleek styles in classic black.

On the lighter end of the spectrum, “DTF St. Louis” star Joy Sunday was a vision in draped ivory Dior, while her co-star Linda Cardellini’s dazzling Yara Shoemaker Couture column was embellished from top to bottom with mother-of-pearl squares.

Then there were the scarlet sirens — like “Beef” star Cailee Spaeny, looking effortlessly elegant in Miu Miu with a red lip to match, and Ayo Edebiri, whose blue Chanel dress was finished with a bold vermillion bow.

But it was Emmys host Mariska Hargitay who really stole the show, hitting the step-and-repeat in a custom crimson sequined Monse gown inspired by the look her mother, Hollywood icon Jayne Mansfield, wore in the 1956 film “The Girl Can’t Help It.”

Below, our best-dressed picks from the 78th Primetime Emmy Awards.
