“The Deep State Wanted Him Dead”: Volunteers Step Up to Provide Security after Biden Refused to Protect Trump’s Border Czar Pick

In an eye-opening post on X (formerly Twitter), veteran Matthew Strickland, who also worked with private military contracting group Blackwater in Iraq, noted that the Biden Administration had refused to protect Trump Border Czar pick Tom Homan even after “some very credible threats,” and so Mr. Stickland and others volunteered to help keep him safe.

Beginning, Mr. Strickland noted that Mr. Homan had called him to say that the Biden Administration wouldn’t provide security for him despite very credible threats on his lives. He said, “A few weeks ago @RealTomHoman called me and told me about some very credible threats to him & his family’s lives.”

Continuing, he gave his impression of what that meant, which is that the regime in power at the time didn’t want to save Mr. Homan from being killed, if indeed it came to that. He said, “The Biden admin refused to provide the incoming Boarder Czar with protection. In my opinion, the Deep State wanted him dead.”

So, volunteers and VA police officers stepped up to help. Mr. Strickland said, commenting on that operation to protect the Border Czar, “So, for the past few weeks my boys & I have been with Tom every day ensuring he’s safe. @GlennYoungkin and the VA State Police stepped up as well providing 24/7 static security at Tom’s home.”

Then, praising Mr. Homan and noting that he remained fearless in the face of those threats and the regime’s unwillingness to help, Mr. Strickland said, “Tom is fearless. Even with those threats to his life, we went to the border and every corner of America. Today Tom gets the dedicated federal protection detail that he deserves. I consider Tom a brother, and it was an honor to serve him.”

Continuing, he said that Mr. Homan has been laser-focused on getting to work, “I can tell you with all honesty that he’s unlike any other top government official. He doesn’t care about accolades, praise, or attending dog & pony events. All he’s talked about the past few weeks is today. The day he gets to go to work.”

Then, saying that Mr. Homan is indeed going to slam shut the border and start doing what is expected of him and the Trump Administration by MAGA voters, which is mainly deportations and fighting the cartels, Mr. Strickland said, “This man is about to bring the wrath of the American People to those who purposefully opened our borders. I can’t wait. I can tell you with conviction that we’re in good hands.”

Concluding by giving some examples of what Mr. Homan will use his power as Border Czar to do and noting that he will start on his work to aid America as soon as Inauguration Day, Mr. Strickland wrote, “Today Tom will close the borders, begin mass deportations, and most importantly, find the almost half million children that have gone missing from the border. America is back folks. Let’s not ever lose her again. 🇺🇸”
