The light of Christ must illuminate our minds and hearts amid the fog of international war

Truth

(LifeSiteNews) — Dear LifeSite readers,

We are getting close to the end of our campaign and have thankfully reached 40 percent of our minimum goal. We are tremendously grateful for the response to date!

However, that leaves 60 percent still to be raised. No small challenge. To all those who have not yet made a gift, can you make your gift to this truth mission now? Today? To make a donation, click on give.lifesitenews.com.

The wars in Ukraine and Israel have been a huge challenge for us. Some of us knew very little about the respective situations when they began. We quickly started our usual, deep investigations to determine the truth about what was being reported, and then, in both cases, have been stunned by what we discovered and did not expect. It has been the same with COVID and many other controversial issues we have covered over the years. We have learned that we cannot at all trust the mainstream media on any such issues and that we must always do our own investigations.

In every case with such huge controversies, the greatest challenge has been to convince readers to believe what our investigations have uncovered. Initially, many just do not believe or want to believe our reports because they contradict all that they have been told and therefore believe. What we report is initially too hard to accept.

Some become very upset and even hateful that we would report such “garbage,” “lies,” “propaganda,” and so on. We are personally accused of all sorts of vile things. But then these critics are usually relying on outdated information and are not spending the hundreds of hours researching the issues and finding many reliable, trustworthy alternative sources and experts as we do.

The Israel conflict has been the most disturbing, difficult, and by far the most emotional of all. Reactions have been the most extreme, as though any criticism of Israel is sinful and an unacceptable betrayal of our Catholic/Christian faith. We encountered that to a lesser degree when we first began to mildly question what Pope Francis was saying and doing. These critics have been demanding that we stop our reporting on Israel, abandon our usual investigative procedures, and just accept that Israel must not be criticized because the Jews are “the Chosen People” and “Israel is the nation of the Jews” and the Holy Land.

We cannot do that. It would be a total betrayal of our mission. We do this work for love of God and for truth – to try to bring about peace and save many lives of innocents – especially women and children not at all involved in the fighting. We must always report the truth that we find – and are certain of – no matter what. Otherwise, we might as well close up this mission because it would be just like all the other news media.

The most helpful information on Israel has come from Catholic and other Christian clergy and leaders in Israel and from many non-Zionist Jewish rabbis and other Jews and certain Jewish news media whom we have extensively quoted. We have learned that there are hundreds of thousands of Jews and thousands of rabbis who are very critical of Israeli Zionists and what they have done and are especially now doing to Palestinians. They and we also condemn the October 7 invasion. However, most Israelis rightly think that it did not seem possible for such an invasion to have happened and there have been huge demonstrations ferociously demanding an investigation to determine why it was not prevented.

Rabbi Yaakov Shapiro opened our eyes to the great difference between Zionism and the Zionist state and authentic Judaism. Rabbi David Feldman of Neturei Karta spoke about Judaism, Zionism, and Palestine. See the 35,000 anti-Zionist Jews who gathered in Philadelphia some time ago. Here are 15,000 Rabbis and Rabbi Shapiro explaining the incompatibility of Judaism and Zionism. Here is Rabbi David Weiss denouncing Israel’s atrocities in Palestine’s Gaza and calling the Zionist state “a criminal entity.” These are only a fraction of what we have discovered for our reports.

The frequent charge by Israeli Zionists is that these rabbis and other non-Zionist Jews are all “self-hating antisemitic Jews” and that we, for reporting what they say, are “pro-Hamas antisemites.” Does any of that make any sense?

In one of our items yesterday, Jason Jones explained the horror of what he has been seeing in Gaza and the harrowing attacks he has endured for simply telling the truth about what he has seen. Jason has been encountering what we have in response to our reports. It has been the same for every person and news organization that has also been trying to report the truth about Israel and the Palestinians and now also Lebanon.

I can personally hardly endure seeing any more videos showing the horrific bombings, random killings, and great suffering of Palestinian mothers, children, and bereaved fathers and husbands. The large majority of them are not “terrorists.” That is confirmed by the sources we have come to rely upon and quote.

So, just to sum up, there is no antisemitism among any of our staff. If there were, they would be let go immediately. We have had good relationships with a number of pro-life Jewish rabbis and other Jewish persons. The only thing we hate is lies, unnecessary and unjust killing, and Satan, but even then, it is not a consuming, emotional hatred. It is just a total rejection of evil.

We love life. We love Jews, we love Palestinians, all made in the image and likeness of God, and we suffer with all who unjustly suffer. You can always count on that.

The most heart-rending of all is watching the suffering of many innocent children who are horribly damaged by U.S. bombs, tank shells, and other weapons constantly sent to the IDF. We want to bring the peace of Christ to the Middle East and that involves telling many hard truths and pleading for an end to all the fighting by all sides.

Please help us to help you and many others to know the truth.
