Barack Obama has been hitting the stump hard for Kamala Harris lately, including a joint appearance with her Thursday night in Georgia. He’s recorded dozens of videos for the Harris campaign and has spoken at more rallies than at any time since 2012. CNN reported that Obama feels that his legacy is on the line in ways it wasn’t in 2016 or 2020,

It may not work, and it might even prove counterproductive. Obama was never very good at getting people to vote for anyone but himself.

The contrast just highlights how bad Harris really is. It’s not a helpful juxtaposition.

Harris .. hired key former Obama aides David Plouffe and Stephanie Cutter for her campaign. Obama attorney general Eric Holder helped her vet vice presidential choices.
The choreographed rollout of Harris could not have gone better, and Donald Trump’s lack of self-control let her escape their debate unscathed. But the honeymoon is over. The bounce in the polls after the convention (at which Obama was the keynote speaker) having evaporated, Harris now finally feels compelled to meet the press. And it’s going badly.
Harris blathers her way around questions she’s incapable of answering even when they are simple and screamingly obvious, and even when she’s been asked them multiple times before. She can’t explain her agenda or how she proposes to bring down prices. She won’t say that she was ever wrong, even when promoting positions that are sharp reversals from her past stances.
