Sabrina Carpenter fans are going wild on social media after a theory surfaced that she's actually wearing a wig on her sold out Short n' Sweet Tour.

Sabrina, 25, has been causing a stir ever since she debuted her new hairdo, with face framing layers and curtain bangs

On TikTok, fans asked hairdressers how to get the look - but according to some content creators, it's possible that the famed hairdo is actually a wig.

Many creators think the singer's hair appears much more voluminous than it was when she opened for Taylor Swift on the Eras Tour.

To find out if Sabrina's rocking a wig, hair extensions, her natural locks or a combination of all of the above, FEMAIL consulted Los Angeles-based colorist and extension specialist Beau Dieda.

Sabrina Carpenter fans are going wild on social media after a theory surfaced that she's actually wearing a wig on her sold out Short n' Sweet Tour.

On TikTok, creator Bella Sprague announced, 'That's giving wig to me,' which she approved of because it could damage her already bleached hair

All summer long, fans asked their hairdressers how to get Sabrina's signature look - but according to some content creators, it's possible that the famed hairdo is actually a wig now

Some fans think she wore a wig on opening night, but has since switched to extensions. Above, she's seen performing at Barclays Center in Brooklyn on September 30

On TikTok, creator Bella Sprague announced, 'That's giving wig to me,' a styling choice she said she approved of because it could cause massive heat damage if Sabrina had to style her hair in retro curls every night.

The New York City-based content creator pointed out that after Sabrina appeared to be wearing a wig on night one, the pop star seemed to be wearing extensions on the second night of the tour.

Many commenters agreed that a wig would be best to avoid heat damage and that it 'fits the aesthetic more.'

'I’d honestly wear a wig if it was me. Makes it so easy for you to look flawless the entire time,' one commenter declared.

Some people thought Sabrina switched back to her natural hair because people noticed - or because she has a lucrative partnership with Redken as the brand's first-ever global ambassador.

'I think they didn’t like that people clocked it,' a commenter announced.

The Taste singer's hairstylist Scott King weighed in on the debate and shared a hair  tutorial after her show at Madison Square Garden.

Scott said he prepped Sabrina's hair by blowdrying it to create volume, and then used a curling wand.

'After the hair cooled I took down her hair and combed through the curls with a wide tooth comb so the curls separated a little bit but still held the shape of the bouncy curl,' Scott shared in his Instagram caption.

Commenters rushed to Sabrina's defense and thanked him for the tutorial, writing, 'Thank you Scott we're getting wig allegations since the tour started.'

Many creators think her appears much more voluminous than it was when she opened for Taylor Swift on the Eras Tour, as seen above

On the Eras Tour, Sabrina opened for Taylor with her now-signature bangs and long locks, but her hair appeared to have much less volume

Celeb extension specialist Beau Dieda told DailyMail.com, 'Sabrina is known for her signature long, blonde hair, and while she often changes up her hairstyle, she typically styles her real hair for most public appearances and concerts.'

Celeb extension specialist Beau Dieda told Daily Mail.com, 'She typically styles her real hair for most public appearances and concerts'

However, Beau clarified that, 'like many performers, she may occasionally wear hair extensions to enhance volume or length, or possibly wigs for specific looks, especially if she’s making quick changes between styles for different performances.'

'It’s not uncommon for pop stars to use wigs or extensions in concerts to keep up with the demands of live performances,' Beau explained.

Beau recommended using a curling wand, heat protectant spray, texturizing spray or mousse, hairspray, and a boar brush and clip to get Sabrina's style at home.

Beau explained how it's possible to get body without a wig, advising, 'Use a texturizing spray or a light mousse to add body and movement to the hair.'

However, if you want the same volume the Sharpest Tool singer has, Beau recommended adding extensions.

'If you want to add length or volume like Sabrina Carpenter, clip-in hair extensions are a great option,' Beau said, recommending the 7 piece clip in set from The Hair Shop in Color 60 for a similar hue.

Sabrina's tour has kicked off with plenty of fan theories, as the Girl Meets World alum has already hit back at TikTok content creators who accused her of lip syncing.

After the tour started, a TikTok user posted a fan video of one of her performances and asked, 'Does she ever sing live?' as another account responded, 'Hate to say it but 30 percent lip synching, 30 percent backing track, 40 percent singing.'

Sabrina was quick to comment back: 'I sing live every show 100 percent, would you like to speak to my audio engineers.'

The Espresso songstress also opened up about negative feedback with Time magazine's TIME100 Next list, talking about how trolls criticize her sexy tour outfits.

'To that I just say, don’t come to the show, and that’s OK,' Sabrina said.

'It’s unfortunate that it’s ever been something to criticize, because truthfully, the scariest thing in the world is getting up on a stage in front of that many people and having to perform as if it’s nothing,' Sabrina added.

'If the one thing that helps you do that is the way you feel comfortable dressing, then that’s what you’ve got to do,' the Please Please Please singer said.
