The vanishing border bill

In the doctors’ lounge recently I witnessed a physician having an angry shouting match with the TV. The TV was airing CNN so I was initially sympathetic. I realized he was yelling about the Compromise Border Bill that would have solved the Nation’s Immigration Issues save for the fact that Trump and his Spawn of Satan Allies (Republicans) blocked it, for no other reason than to keep the Nation in Turmoil in order to keep the issue in play for the elections.

Then Tampon Tim mentioned it several times during the recent debate.

Wanting to be an informed voter, I took to Google to research this. I’m a simple man, perhaps even a knucklehead, but I had a bit of trouble tracking it down.

Is it HR 815, all 300 plus mind numbing pages of it? As best as I can tell it was signed back in April.

Is it HR 2, the most Draconian border bill ever drafted? No, silly, because that was a Republican bill.

Help a brother out. All I want to find is a PDF of the Blessed Bill that would have Solved Our Nation’s Ills, except for Trump and his evil minions.

I read HR 2 from beginning to end. It's an awesome bill...passed by the House a year ago...and sitting on Schumer's desk...

Instead of putting it to a vote...the Dems create their own bill....and it's like a permission slip for the next million illegals.

As a libertarian you should be supporting the end of national borders.

First step: Never trust Google to find out the facts. DuckDuckGo is a less biased search engine...not perfect, but better.

The problem is we do not need a new border bill; we simply need to enforce existing laws that are being ignored.

You forgot to mention that this Bill offered a clear path to Amnesty and Citizenship for ALL the illegal immigrants currently residing in the USA.

The Bill also lacked mandatory enforcement of E-Verify on USA employers.

Once illegal immigrants have Green Cards, they can bring their entire family to the USA.

Since new Naturalized Citizens vote 70%-75% for the Democratic Party, passing the Compromise Immigration Bill was probably not a great idea for Trump and the GOP.

We don’t need any new bills. We have more than enough existing laws in effect that can address this if they are enforced. Seems like the only way they can measure their “contribution” or job performance is passing new worthless legislation. I want one more law passed that mandates a balanced budget and a moratorium on new laws for at least one election cycle.

A good example is the stupid hate crimes. If you murder someone doesn’t matter why they did it, the victim is still dead. Adding extra time to a life sentence when the perp will more than likely be paroled is ludicrous at best.

We need more border patrols and surveillance. Read the bill, there’s a lot to it.

I thought HR. 815 was signed into law.

That means no wall, no new surveillance, no additional border patrol guys.

Fair enough. Do you have the PDF?

Cool. Can you provide the PDF?

The existing laws are too oberous: illegal immigrants are not allowed in. The bill would have paid for 1500 new BP agents — less than 1 per mile for our southern border! — and allowed up to 1,825,000 illegal immigrants to come in.

It probably would not have changed the TPS situation; the Temporary Protected Stars seems to allow people from Haiti and Venezuela apparently unlimited entry, and possibly also people from Cuba and Nicaragua. All the rest, it seems, are permitted to apply for asylum, conditions for that unknown.

Thus they are considered “legal” immigrants, which is probably why Walz said the numbers were double under Trump.

Sickening.

No, it is accurate, have you ever voted for your libertarian party?

Maybe Timmy was referring to the senate bill from back in February?

I shouldn’t take the bait. Go back and review my revised profile. I’ve voted straight Republican since 1996. Now go away.
