Country singer Sundance Head, who won season 11 of The Voice in 2016, has been airlifted to a hospital after being shot on his Texas ranch.
Trey Newman, the 46-year-old music artist's agent, told TMZ the shooting took place in a rural area of the state on Friday.
The outlet reported that paramedics got the the star in stable condition and he is recovering in a Tyler, Texas hospital.
The musician, whose real name is Jason Head, dialed 911 after the shooting.
Per Newman, Sundance's wife Misty said the bullet missed her husband's vital organs and got lodged in a fatty area of his stomach.
