Diary of disturbing disinformation and dangerous delusions
This claim:
“If a woman doesn’t look woman enough to Republicans, they want to be able to inspect her genitals to use the bathroom. It’s disgusting.”
— Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Wednesday
We say: AOC is well-known for her oddball rants, but this one is truly nutso. No one wants to “inspect” a woman’s “genitals” to let them use a Capitol bathroom.
What Rep. Nancy Mace and House Speaker Mike Johnson want is for biological men to use men’s rooms, and keep women’s rooms safe for women only.
The idea of genital inspections is a figment of AOC’s far-left imagination.
This question:
“What is going to happen . . . when the military opens fire on us?”
— Democratic strategist Julie Roginsky, Monday
We say: Yes, President-elect Donald Trump said he’d use the military to help with deportations.
That could mean, say, having the National Guard provide transportation, help build facilities for deportees, process paperwork or perform other tasks.
Yet open-borders fan Roginsky wants you to fear battalions of Marines shooting down helpless, unarmed moms and kids who try to block deportations. How delusional can you get?
This assertion:
“We all know that precedent by a court doesn’t matter anymore in this country. And people violate laws anytime they want.”
— Pa. Democratic County Commissioner Diane Ellis-Marseglia, Nov. 14
We say: Thought Dems opposed election-denial? Think again! Dave McCormick (R) was up by tens of thousands of votes in his bid to unseat Sen. Bob Casey in Pennsylvania.
Yet Democratic commissioners in four counties insisted on counting ballots that had been twice disqualified by the state’s top court — in hopes of overturning the results.
They tried to justify it by claiming they needn’t obey the courts. So much for the pro-democracy party.
This charge:
“Republicans want to kill your kids.”
— Washington Post columnist Jennifer Rubin, Tuesday
We say: AOC and Roginsky aren’t the only GOP-haters resorting to hyperbolic fearmongering in the wake of Trump’s electoral win.
The WaPo’s Jennifer Rubin is also now telling Democrats to repeat “over and over again” that Republicans are child-killers.
Why? Because some on the right question vaccine effectiveness and support the Second Amendment. Trump Derangement Syndrome clearly lives on.
