The Weeknd got an early glimpse of Persona 6 and played Persona 4 Revival before anyone else, and fans of the series are very jealous.

Persona 6 was finally shown off at the Xbox Games Showcase on June 7, giving fans an early look at the highly anticipated RPG. The incredibly short trailer showed a rainy graveyard full of headstones mixed with eerie imagery that flashed onto the screen before revealing the game’s neon green logo.

We even got a sneak peek at Persona 4 Revival, a new remake of the PS2 classic that Atlus hopes will sate our collective hunger for P6. While we’re certainly closer than ever, the devs have yet to reveal a release date for the long-awaited sixth installment.

However, one person who did get to have an early glimpse is none other than singer-songwriter The Weeknd.

The Weeknd continues his Persona quest in Japan

For those who haven’t been keeping up with his viral posts, The Weeknd has been busy touring around Japan. In fact, the chart-topping musician recently made headlines after he posted an image of the IRL location of Persona 5’s Cafe Leblanc.

Fans instantly flocked to social media, with many claiming The Weeknd is searching for generational baddie, Tae Takemi, the back-alley doctor he fumbled in his viral playthrough of Persona 5 Royal.

While he may have failed to romance Takemi (we don’t actually know if he found the real version), he hasn’t let the gothic doc get to him. In fact, it seems the Canadian singer has already moved on to newer waifus.

“Can finally post this. A while back I got to visit Atlus and play P4 Revival and got an early peek at P6,” The Weeknd flexed via a post on his X account. His Tweet shows the singer standing next to Morgana from Persona 5, playing Persona 4 remake, and reveals a signed piece of artwork from character designer Shigenori Soejima.

However, it’s the glowing P6 logo and the fact that he got a “sneak peek” before anyone else, that has fans losing their minds.

“After playing P4 Revival AND seeing P6. Atlus really handed one person the keys to the entire Persona vault. The rest of us have been refreshing for 8 years, and you got the VIP tour. Emotional damage is real. Congrats to you, ruin to my mental health,” wrote one fan.

“Bro visited Atlus HQ and played P4 Revival + saw P6 early?? I’m so jealous but so happy for you, man. The glow on your face in these pics says it all. Persona community is eating good,” responded another.

Others even begged The Weeknd to reveal some juicy details about the upcoming game, but he has remained tight-lipped. It seems the rest of us will need to wait a little bit longer. Let’s just hope it doesn’t take another decade.
