No one likes cold hands while gaming, so a Japanese company has come up with the perfect product to keep the chill at bay with a pair of electronic “Gaming Gauntlet Heater” gloves.
From hoodies fitted with cat kangaroo pouches that keep your feline close while you game to giant Pokemon body pillows, there are plenty of intuitive products that keep you feeling cosy.
However, as we approach the winter months, it can be tricky to keep your hands feeling nice and toasty, especially if you’re looking to save on your energy bills or you live with someone who is stingy with the heating.
Enter the “Gaming Gauntlet Heater,” a pair of electronic heated fingerless gloves that aims to keep Japanese gamers warm during cooler seasons.
Heated gaming gloves keep out the cold
As revealed via the translated store page, the Gaming Gauntlet Heater gloves have been designed to keep the backs of your hands warm, while freeing up your fingers for those all-important button presses.
This also means you’ll be able to type on your keyboard and move your mouse without any obstruction, so you won’t be able to blame your new heated gloves for that bad K/DA or game-ending misclick (I still will, of course).
ThankoThe USB-powered gloves are also made from stretchy material that can fit a range of hand sizes, with the creators noting that they are intended to fit both men and women. They also come with three separate heating settings, with users able to choose from low, medium, and high.
The Gaming Gauntlet Heater gloves cost ¥3,480 (around $22) and are currently available to purchase from the Thanko website. Unfortunately, no international version has yet to be revealed, but if you have a Japan trip lined up, this could well be a must-have purchase for those who want to keep cold hands at bay this winter.
