Breaking through to 300Hz specs usually pushes gaming monitors into more costly price brackets, but one of ASUS's rapid-fire TUF displays has just become a much cheaper buy for competitive PC setups.
As of Aug. 24, the VG259QMR5 model in the ASUS TUF gaming monitor lineup is now only $139 at Amazon as part of a limited-time deal. Compared with its $199 list price, that strips $60 from the cost for a 30% discount and takes the 24.5-inch display down to its lowest Amazon price yet — confirmed with price tracker camelcamelcamel.
Amazon is handling both the sale and shipping. Prime members can have it delivered as soon as Aug. 25, and this monitor is even covered by free 30-day returns.
There’s the fast IPS panel, which runs at Full HD resolution and can be overclocked to 310Hz. ASUS pairs that with a minimum 0.3ms GTG response time, making this an excellent choice for fast shooters like Valorant and other competitive games like Marathon.

That said, image quality hasn't been completely pushed aside in pursuit of speed. This particular ASUS TUF monitor SKU covers 99% of the sRGB color gamut and carries DisplayHDR 400 certification, while the Gaming AI feature includes Dynamic Crosshair, Dynamic Shadow Boost, and AI Visual.
To top it all off, the DisplayWidget Center even lets you adjust monitor settings using your mouse, and connectivity includes two HDMI 2.0 ports alongside DisplayPort 1.4. Plus, a height-adjustable stand rounds things out, giving you some extra flexibility when fitting it into your gaming setup.
