Thousands of pro-Palestine protesters have descended on London this afternoon for a major demonstration along Whitehall.
Ahead of the planned protest, the Metropolitan Police imposed strict conditions on the midday march to "minimise the risk of serious disruption to communities".
Palestine Coalition planned today's demonstration, alongside a counter-protest.
The conditions require the group to travel along Westminster Bridge, York Road, Waterloo Bridge and The Strand on to Whitehall.
The protesters, some of whom have donned keffiyehs as they brandished Palestine flags, were warned they face arrest if they fail to remove face masks.
The pro-Palestine supporters could be heard chanting "in our thousands, in our millions we are all Palestinians" and "shame on you" as they marched past the counter-protest.
Participants took part in a two-minute silence to reflect on those who died in the Gaza war since the October 7 Hamas massacre.
The two groups were separated with metal barriers as well as a number of police officers deployed to the scene.

Deputy Assistant Commissioner Carl Galvin said: "We know Saturday’s event, so close to the third anniversary of the terror attack on Israel, has the potential to have a greater impact on communities than the previous national marches.
"We will also be using powers under the Public Order Act requiring anyone in the protest area wearing face coverings to deliberately conceal their identity to remove them."
He continued: "And we will do so if we see groups of people who refuse and are covering their faces with the intention to hide their identity, intimidate and commit offences. That is unacceptable.
"But for individual cases, officers must carefully assess why a person is wearing a mask and respond in a measured way."
Other conditions include the rally ending by 6.30pm

Other conditions include the rally ending by 6.30pm while the force added any speeches and music must conclude an hour earlier.
Some of those speaking at the rally include Your Party MP Zarah Sultana as well as John McDonnell, the Labour MP for Hayes and Harlington.
A counter-protest organised by Stop The Hate is taking place outside New Scotland Yard. The police have imposed conditions on the march "to minimise the risk of serious disruption".
The campaigners must stay within a boundary outside the building and must leave at 2.30pm.
The Palestine Coalition includes Palestine Solidarity Campaign, Stop the War, CND, Muslim Association of Britain, Friends of Al Aqsa and Palestinian Forum in Britain.
Three years ago, the terrorists killed 1,200 people, and taking hundreds as hostages.
On Wednesday, during a separate demonstration, groups of protesters and counter-protesters clashed near Russell Square as the march got underway.
Counter protesters gathered behind the garden gates and could be seen chanting: “Shame on you.”
