Three people dead and three police officers hospitalised after fire rips through home

Three people have died after a vicious fire blazed through a former station house in Northamptonshire - which left three more police officers hospitalised.

Emergency services descended on the scene after reports of the "inferno" in Rushton at 10.30pm on Friday night.


Although they tried to save the individuals inside the building, three people tragically died.

The residence used to be Rushton's station, and would serve as accommodation for the station "master".

Since the train line ran directly behind the building, it is currently sealed off until the officials have concluded their on-site analysis.

Road closures have remained in place along Station Road between Desborough Road and Oakley Road, as well as streets off of Station Road.

Authorities have requested that residents avoid the area altogether where possible.
