Thune Questions if It Is ‘Realistic’ to Deport Everybody in the Country Illegally

Senator Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD) questioned if deporting everyone in the United States illegally was “realistic” Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”

Host Kristen Welker said, “Let’s talk about the Republicans’ agenda. When I spoke to President-elect Donald Trump he said his mass deportation plan was his top priority. He wants to deport everyone who is here illegally. Do you support that plan to deport everyone who is here illegally?”

Thune said, “Well I think certainly there are categories, people who have committed crimes. There are over a million people that the current administration had targeted for deportation. So I think that we have to take seriously the fact that there are a lot of people in this country today, over 10 million who came in over the last four years under the current administration’s policies, and many of whom are not here for good reasons. We know we apprehended people on the terrorist border on the watch list, and you have gang members and cartel members and all of the above. As we think about what those next steps are and, the first thing is securing that border and making sure that we change the incentive struck are so people are incentivized to come here illegally which they have been for the last four years. And do everything to ensure that the border personnel, the ICE agents and border agents have the resources that they need to do their job. Some of that means physical barriers, some of it is technological barriers, et cetera, and those will require resources, and some will require deportation of certain people who are here illegally.”

Welker said, “In 2016, you said deporting everyone here illegally was not realistic. Have you changed your mind?”

This guy is going to be a thorn in Trump's side. Ike deported illegals with no problems with his government program 'Operation Wetback'.

Lock then in shipping containers with plenty of MREs and a port-a-potty.

Ship them.

Tom Homan has no problem setting an example arresting blockers and deportation thwarters like Denver Mayor, Healey, Mayor Wu and others. Thune can become cellmates with ‘em.

The number of Democrats in the Senate that will vote to fund Trump’s deportation efforts: 0
The number of Democrats in the House that will vote to fund Trump’s deportation efforts: 0
The number of RINOs in the Senate that will refuse to fund Trump’s deportation efforts: probably at least five
The number of RINOs in the House that will refuse to fund Trump’s deportation efforts: well over a dozen

The ilictos aren’t going anywhere, except to the grocery stores with EBT cards, and to the ER to get free medical care and drugs, all on your dime.

The way to go is with an irregular alien Pay&Stay fee. The irregular alien would pay $400/month minimum, with their FICA from two calendar years back being credited towards the $400 if timely and correctly paid. The delay is necessary because IRS doesn’t know who the FICA tax is paid for at the time the employer pays the FICA tax. The delay also puts up a rather expensive monetary ‘wall’.

If the irregular alien earned $30,000, the FICA tax that should have been paid from the irregular alien’s earnings would be 6.2% of $30,000, or $1860. Divided by 12, that $1860 would come to $155/month.

The irregular alien would have to pay $245/month to stay that year. A 10% discount might be given if paid by USCIS approved automated means to the USCIS, making it $221.50/month, about 5 hours a week of a $15/minimum wage.

If the irregular alien is under age 18 and not in employment, their Pay&Stay fee would be $50/month.

If there are complaints about fee amounts, property tax protests can be organized.

The irregulars would have until April 15th to sign up and make their initial Pay&Stay payment.

Americans would not stomach Pay & Stay fee resistance while they themselves are filling out 1040s.

Firmness can make many irregular aliens into good tax-paying people.

Once $100,000 in FICA tax is timely paid by the alien, an irregular alien might then be made eligible to apply for citizenship as per other law. There would be no sponsorship or reunification abilities under that citizenship. Thousands of DACA grantees would soon qualify, so they’ll scream loudly in support of the program.

Irregular aliens who timely pay their Pay&Stay fees, government levies, privately maintain mandated insurance and health insurance in states charging for the lack thereof, and do not commit crimes punishable by imprisonment or fines in excess of $1,000 would not be subject to removal.

Temporary Protected Status people would be considered irregular, and have the same sign-up deadline, but they would not get deported or imprisoned under immigration law until their TPS was up.

If law-abiding asylum seekers timely pay Pay&Stay fees, they get to stay, but if they lose their asylum cases and didn’t pay on time, they don’t get any way to stay.

There might be up to 30 days of fee payment grace after 24 months of timely Pay&Stay fee payment. A $100 grace fee would also be required if payment is more than 15 days late.

Failure to pay a Pay&Stay fee would result in imprisonment for 1 year if less than 24 monthly fees were paid, as well as removal with any return subject to like imprisonment and removal.

The Pay&Stay fees would be distributed to the states for K-12 education based on the population counts of the last completed census[ 2020]. Many public employee teachers will support the Pay&Stay fee amounts and program.

With Pay & Stay, the federal government would soon get monthly payments from about 20 million people. Trump would be lucky to removal 10,000 invaders a month.

There’s only one way to find out for sure.

Yup. These jerks should learn to keep their mouths shut. He is starting to display a rift among his associates and against Trump. I see that as being disloyal.

Doesn’t need to be 100%.

Just a serious effort augmented by elimination of government paid subsidies and reducing employment opportunities.

First hunt down, apprehend and deport without exception all gang members and cartel.

Next give 60 days notice to self-deport.

Next develop a robust legal guest worker policy. Self-deportees have first dibs on getting back legally with exceptions such as criminal background checks etc

Upon conviction of any misdemeanor or felony they will be deported with no chance at return. .

Any who do not self deport will be forcefully deported with zero chance of ever returning.

See Thune. That ain’t that hard.

He was McConnell’s #2 choice behind Cornyn.

Cut off jobs, apartments, handouts, money sent to home countries, and dry up the NGO’s. Handcuff the universities on foreign students (we educate the world’s terrorists). Most will self deport.

Make the penalty for hiring an illegal a mandatory million dollar fine and 1 year incarceration for both the CEO and the person signing off on the hiring and the illegals will self-deport.

Just from a strictly logistical standpoint, deporting 25-30 million or more people in 4 years is unrealistic.

At the very least, get the 8-10 million that have come in during the last 4 years is more realistic and doable.

Over a million people already have deportation orders filed against them along with criminal gangs need to be 1st priorities, get them rounded up and get them out of this country.

Get the wall built and shut down the order.

Thune Questions if It Is ‘Realistic’ to Deport Everybody in the Country Illegally

It isn't, unless Trump calls out the unorganized militia, as the only source of sufficient and motivated personnel to get it done.

That is unlikely to happen. And Trump knows it.

It can't be done overnight...for several reasons. One being the sheer numbers...another being that we know damn well that Maoist lawyers nationwide, urged on by Rat Party Headquarters, will be fighting tooth and nail. But perhaps we can arrange for about 51 wetbacks (the same number in Martha's Vineyard) can break into Thune’s basement and let someone tell him “well,it might not be realistic to expect all of them to be booted out”.

Actually Operation Wetback did have problems including the accidental deportation of American citizens. It also had a fairly significant repeat offender rate (about 20 percent of later deportees had already been deported one or more times before). Operation Wetback had the cooperation of Mexico but was also very small compared to the effort we will need to eventually undertake and it probably will require a dramatic increase in budget and personnel for the Immigration and Custom Service.

I would suggest that every deportee be Iris screened during outprocessing and that Iris scanning be done on everyone entering the border thereafter. This way repeat offenders can be apprehended at the border immediately upon trying to gain reentry.
