A former TikTok star famous for his Scarface impressions posted an apology on social media for murdering his wife before heading to jail to serve two consecutive life sentences. 

Ali Abulaban, 32, was handed down two consecutive life sentences without parole earlier this month for the first-degree murders of Ana Abulaban, 28, and her friend, Rayburn Barron, 29, plus 50 more years in prison for gun enhancement charges.

He broke down in tears when the jury returned a guilty verdict in May, after a trial in which he never denied killing the two while they were snuggled up on the couch in Ana's San Diego home in 2021.

Before starting his sentence, the content creator known as JinnKid shared a groveling apology on Instagram accepting his punishment.

'I would like to share a few words with you all before I leave for prison in the morning. Regardless of how you all may feel about me, my content or this heartbreaking tragedy - the bottom line is that I have done something terrible,' Abulaban said in a statement.

'Due to my irresponsible behavior and lack of self-control, two innocent lives were taken and I am a fault.'  

'I had my opportunity to speak during trial and have fully explained my honest intentions were on that terrible day. Non the less [sic], I was found guilty and now I must face the music and walk this path ahead of me.'

The statement added: 'I am so very sorry for my actions and I am ashamed at how pathetic and selfish I had been.'

 Abulaban also took time to to thank his fans.

'Thank you for the years of laughter, the thrill of going viral and all the cherished memories,' his statement said. 

Abulaban, who has a history of domestic violence, was allegedly kicked out of the his and Ana's apartment at a luxury San Diego complex.

During his lengthy period on the stand in the case, Abulaban admitted to punching and pushing his wife on various occasions - but claimed that he would have never done so before the family moved from Virginia to San Diego in early 2021.

Abulaban said the pair began arguing frequently about alleged infidelity on both sides. He recalled a particular fight in July 2021 in which Ana claimed she had slept with one of his friends.

High on cocaine at the time, Abulaban said the remark 'shook me and I snapped.' He then punched her three times in the face.

The convicted murderer testified in court that he was using cocaine to cope with his emotional struggles, but that the drugs were making him violent and aggressive 

He believed his wife was cheating on him with Barron. San Diego Deputy District Attorney Taren Brast saying the couple had already been separated 'for quite some time' before that.

After Ana told him to move out, prosecutors said he secretly made a copy of the apartment key so he could install a listening device on his five-year-old daughter's tablet.

From there, prosecutors said he snapped when he heard his estranged wife and another man talking.

Brast said Abulaban shot Barron three times at close range - in the neck, cheek and back of the head - before he turned the gun on his wife, shooting her once in the forehead.

He then called his mother to confess, while also telling his daughter he 'hurt mommy.'

Ana used to appear with some regularity in Abulaban's comedy videos on TikTok, where his now-deleted account once had more than 980,000 followers.
