Tom Segura breaks silence on ‘awful’ Christina Pazsitzky divorce

Tom Segura finally addressed his bombshell divorce from Christina Pazsitzky.

In Wednesday’s “Your Mom’s House” episode, which was titled “Your Dad’s House,” Segura called the split a “horrible experience.”

He went on to tell listeners that the “awful” breakup was “emotionally, a rollercoaster” — and happened “many months” ago.

“Your emotions change many times a day,” Segura, 47, added. “You don’t feel the same all the time. It’s really tough on you.”

He went on to defend not joining Pazsitzky, 50, for last week’s episode discussing the separation.

Segura, who has been “bothered” by comments bashing his absence, pointed out that the former couple have been “recording episodes separately for a long time” and since “her episode was first, she addressed it first.”

News broke in July that Segura and Pazsitzky parted ways after 18 years but have remained “completely amicable.”

An insider told TMZ at the time that the YMH Studio podcast network co-founders would continue to co-host their “Your Mom’s House” podcast.

“They had a special and productive relationship, creating one of the most successful comedy podcast networks in the industry and, more importantly, two kids,” a source told the outlet, referring to their sons Ellis,10, and Julian, 8.

Segura, however, has remained absent from the podcast, with Pazsitzky claiming that he’s been out of town recently.

“Tom Segura is in LA,” the businesswoman, who was still wearing her wedding band, said on a July 15 episode.

However, while speaking out about their separation via her Instagram Stories a few days later, Pazsitzky shared that the episodes were pre-recorded.

“Thank you for all the kind messages,” she wrote. “This is a really difficult time for our family.”

Pazsitzky also emotionally addressed the breakup on her podcast, saying, “Yes, Tom and I are divorcing, and it is extremely sad.”

“That being said, we have tried to work it out for several years for the sake of our children and our family,” she said while shedding tears. “We gave it all we could, but we just couldn’t work things out.”

“Look, we had 20 amazing years together,” Pazsitzky continued. “That’s a really good run, I think, in a marriage. We had a very successful marriage. We created [the podcast], we have comedy careers [and] most importantly created a family.”

The Netflix star explained she wanted to address her audience because they’ve been following her and Segura’s life through the podcast for 12 years as they’ve dealt with “births and deaths, tragic accidents, cancer [and] COVID.”

“We will survive,” she told listeners. “We will get through this bulls—t like we’ve gotten through everything else in life. This is just an unfortunate thing.”

At the time, Pazsitzky said their co-parenting dynamic is not “ugly” — which Segura confirmed on Wednesday.

“We’re not combative,” he insisted of the “terrible” and “disappointing” split. “We talk every day. I support Christina in everything she does, [and] she supports me.”

Segura does not plan to address the breakup further, saying, “This is it for me. I’m not gonna talk about this [more].”
