Trader Joe's beloved Customer Choice Awards returns... did YOUR favorite products come out on top?

Trader Joe's shoppers have spoken.

The winners of the grocery chain’s 16th Annual Customer Choice Awards are in. 

The retailer announced the fan-favorite products after a customer vote earlier this year. 

Each year, the California-based grocery chain calls on its shoppers to vote for their favorite Trader Joe's products across various categories. 

All 11 category winners are available at every Trader Joe's location, with several repeat champions from last year — including the overall top product.

But a few new favorites made the list, taking the top spots in the new product and produce categories. 

 So, which items came out on top this year? Find out below!

Trader Joe's announced the winners of its 16th Annual Customer Choice Awards on January 27

The winning products were selected based on votes from Trader Joe's shoppers 

Favorite Overall

This year's overall winner at the 16th Annual Customer Choice Awards was once again the Chili & Lime Flavored Rolled Corn Tortilla Chips

Fans voted the Chili & Lime Flavored Rolled Corn Tortilla Chips the number one overall product for the third year in a row.

The chips, which were also dubbed the top snack, are described as 'spicy, ire-zest-tible little scrolls made from stone ground corn masa.'

Customers interested in purchasing a bag can do so at any neighboring Trader Joe's for $2.99.

Other items considered for the top overall product were the Steamed Pork & Ginger Soup Dumplings, Butternut Squash Mac & Cheese, Kimbap, and Vegetable Fried Rice.

Favorite New Product

Trader Joe's Cashel-brand blue cheese potato chips was voted the favorite new product

Shoppers instantly loved the limited-time potato chips after they hit store shelves last year.

'Of the many extraordinary culinary exports that Ireland is famed for, two of our absolute favorites are its hearty, homey potatoes and creamy, full-flavored cheeses,' the product description read. 

'So when one of our buyers happened upon the both of them combined into one superbly savory snack, you can imagine how excited we were.'

The chips, which were $2.99 a bag, are reportedly no longer available in stores, according to customers.

Other items named runners up were the French Onion Popcorn, Garlic Gondolas, Strawberry Hold the Cone!, and Crispy Potato & Poblano Pepper Tacos.

Favorite Beverage

Trader Joe's Spiced Cider was voted the top beverage. Oher drinks considered were French Market Sparking Lemonade and Triple Ginger Brew 

The Spiced Cider beverage has once again been named the favorite drink amongst Trader Joe's shoppers.

The limited-time drink is a 'fall-season tradition' at its stores that cost $3.99.

The drink, which hit shelves for the first time over 20 years ago, is still available to purchase in stores.

The Spiced Cider beat out French Market Sparkling Lemonade, Sparkling Honeycrisp Apple Juice Beverage, Triple Ginger Brew, and Villa Italia Italian Blood Orange Soda.

Favorite Cheese

All variations of Trader Joe's Goat cheese was awarded as top cheese

For the second year in a row, customers crowned Trader Joe's goat cheese the best cheese.

Some of the options available include the Chevre-brand goat cheese, crumbled goat cheese, and sliced Dutch goat's milk cheese.

More than one of the cheeses costs $2.99 per container and are permanent items.

The products this cheese beat were the English Farmhouse Cheddar with Caramelized Onions, Syrah Soaked Toscano Cheese Spread & Dip, Burrata, and Saint André Triple Crème Brie.

Favorite Produce

Teeny Tiny Avocados took over bananas in this year's top spot for produce products at Trader Joe's

Trader Joe's Teeny Tiny Avocados took over this year's top produce product spot from bananas.

'We like to say they're where-have-you-been-all-my-life-sized,' Trader Joe's said about the $4.99 snacks.

'No more letting unused avo-halves brown in the fridge, folks!.'

This year's runners-up were bananas, honeycrisp apples, organic Persian cucumbers, and blueberries.

Favorite Appetizer

The Spinach & Artichoke Dip was named the Best Appetizer and was recommended to eat with crackers, baguette slices, and tortilla chips

The Creamy Spinach & Artichoke Dip is the perfect blend of ''chokes and spinach' with Swiss and parmesan cheese and hits of spices.

It also came out on top for customers' favorite appetizer after winning the coveted award last year.

The item, which costs $3.79, beat out Jalapeńo & Cream Cheese Crispy Wontons, Parmesan Pastry Pups, Greek Spanakopita, and Vegetable Bird's Nests with Soy Dipping Sauce.

Favorite Breakfast & Brunch

Trader Joe's heat & eat hash browns were named the grocery store chain's top breakfast or brunch

The retailer's hashbrowns also won for the second year in a row after winning top breakfast last year.

The shredded potato hashbrowns come fully cooked and cost $2.99.

This year's runners-up were 4 Chocolate Croissants, 4 Almond Croissants, Dutch Griddle Cakes, and Chicken Sausage Breakfast Patties.

Favorite Lunch & Dinner

The buttered chicken entre was awarded the favorite lunch & dinner option for the second year in a row

The fan-favorite Butter Chicken with Basmati Rice clinched this year's victory after debuting on last year's list.

'#Cookinghacks – that's how the original recipe for butter chicken is said to have been created,' according to Trader Joe's.

Customers can score a box of this beloved lunch and dinner meal for $4.99.

Other contenders for this award were the Chicken Tikka Masala, Steamed Pork & Ginger Soup Dumplings, Kimbap, and Butternut Squash Mac & Cheese.

Favorite Sweet Treat

The sublime ice cream sandwiches features chocolate chip cookies sandwiching creamy vanilla ice cream and chocolate chips 

The sweet treat fans raved about last year has once again been crowned the top Trader Joe's dessert.

The Sublime Ice Cream Sandwiches were created years ago after the retailer had an 'ice cream epiphany' and realized they could make 'way better' treats compared to other chains.

The beloved treats are available in Trader Joe's freezers everywhere for $4.99.

The other desserts close to beating the ice cream sandwiches were the Almond Kringle, Hold the Cone! Chocolate Chip, Jingle Jangle, and the Dark Chocolate Covered Almond.

Favorite Bath, Body & Home

This winning body butter with a salted-caramel & pistachio scent is exclusively available in summertime

The salted-caramel & pistachio scented Brazil Nut Body Butter, claimed victory in the bath, body & home category.

The product is exclusively available during the summer time for $5.99.

This year's runners-up were the Daily Facial Sunscreen SPF 40, Coconut Body Butter, Leave In Conditioner, and the Lavender Spray Hand Sanitizer.

Trader Joe's was in the news last year after it raised the price of its bananas for the first time in more than two decades.

Last March, it increased the price of a banana from 19 to 23 cents. It may only be an extra 4 cents - but it works out at a 21 per cent increase.

In terms of numbers sold, bananas are typically the best-selling item at supermarkets - so it is a change Trader Joe's value-focussed customers will notice.  

The 19 cents banana is such a well-known deal at Trader Joe's that its customers have voted it their favorite item of produce in its annual awards a total of five times, including in 2024.
