Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has survived a second non-confidence motion in parliament in as many weeks.

The motion, brought by the opposition Conservatives, was aimed at bringing down his minority Liberal government and triggering a federal election.

The motion failed after Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre again fell short in his effort to gain the backing of other political parties in parliament.

Poilievre tabled this second non-confidence motion the day after his last one failed.

This motion accused the government of failing Canadians on affordable housing, the cost of living, and crime - key issues that the Conservatives have been using to hammer the Liberals for months.

Thank you very much and God bless you.

I suppose we have to give Monsieur Poilievre an "A" for effort, even the other parties are doing all they can to ensure that Princess Justine's position continues to remain as safe as a bear cub with its Momma.

I can’t speak for any Canadian other than myself, but I, and most of the people I associate with on a regular basis are pretty much praying for an election to come along as quickly as possible. Unfortunately our so-called “betters” in Ottawa are circling the wagons around Fearless Leader at the moment. They’ll continue to do so for as long as they can continue to get away with it. My prediction is that, unless one or more of the other parties stop propping him up, he’ll hang on to the bitter, legal end of his current term. Even THEN, with his traditional (even if shrinking) voter base, and the millions upon millions of “migrants” his administration has let in, it’s going to be a real chore to get him voted out of power, no matter how much of a lead Monseiur Poilievre might currently have in the polls (at least on paper).

Or, maybe Princess Justine will do the decent thing, and go back to costuming and part-time drama teaching.
