The Republican has clinched electoral votes in two swing states, while five others are also leaning his way, the paper has projected
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is “very likely” to return to the White House after taking the lead over Democratic rival Kamala Harris in seven swing states, according to a projection by the New York Times.
The newspaper has put Trump’s chances of winning the election at more than 95%, estimating that he has secured 306 electoral college votes out of 270 required for victory, compared to 232 for Harris.
