John Brennan is big mad.
On Tuesday, President Donald Trump used executive power to revoke the security clearances of the 51 former intel officials who signed the infamous 2020 letter that implied the Hunter Biden laptop was a Russian disinformation op. The order stated that the letter’s signers, including Brennan, James Clapper, and John Bolton, “engaged in misleading and inappropriate political coordination with the 2020 Biden presidential campaign.” (Subscribe to MR. Naturally, Brennan went on the pro-spook network, MSNBC, to air his grievances and claimed that Trump “misrepresented the facts.”
🚨John Brennan is upset that the 51 Spies Who Lied had their security clearances revoked:
“[Trump] misrepresented the facts in that executive order because it said that we had suggested that the Hunter Biden laptop story was Russian disinformation.”

“He misrepresented the facts in that executive order because it said that we had suggested that the Hunter Biden laptop story was Russian disinformation,” Brennan said Tuesday during an appearance on MSNBC. “No, we said it was all the hallmarks of Russian information operations, including the dumping of accurate information, which is what we said in that letter.” (RELATED: Deep State Creature Finally Gets What Was Coming On First Day Of Trump’s Term)
“This was just, you know, his effort to try to get back at those individuals who have criticized him openly and publicly in the past, and I think very legitimately,” the former CIA director went on to say.
Brennan is clearly playing a semantics game to portray himself as a victim. “We never said it was a Russian disinformation op, it just had hallmarks of a Russian disinformation op.” Sure, sure. But all along, the intent of the letter was to run cover for then-candidate Joe Biden in the eleventh hour of his 2020 campaign. Even just the mere false suggestion that the laptop was not real gave enough ammunition to the media to spin the entire saga.
And it’s no wonder Brennan is so upset. Having a security clearance after working at the top levels of government is a wonderful jewel on your resume, especially if you want to be a cable news talking head, which is what so many ex-spooks do after faithfully serving the Deep State. It’s a cushy revolving door, but thankfully Trump is putting an annoying wedge in it — at least for the time being.
