US President Donald Trump said Friday that he has revoked security protection for Anthony Fauci, his former Covid advisor who has received death threats over his handling of the pandemic.

"You can't have a security detail for the rest of your life because you worked for government," Trump told reporters in North Carolina, where he was on a visit to inspect flood damage.

Trump withdrew Secret Service protection earlier this week from his former national security advisor John Bolton.

The New York Times said the president had also revoked government security provided to his former secretary of state, Mike Pompeo, and a top Pompeo aide, Brian Hook.

Asked by a reporter whether he would feel partially responsible if anything happened to Fauci or Bolton, Trump said: "No."

"Certainly I would not take responsibility," he said.

"They all made a lot of money," Trump said. "They can hire their own security."

"I can give them some good numbers of very good security people," the president said. "Fauci made a lot of money."

The democrats effectively blocked Trump from Secret Service protection on July 13. They openly called for taking away all his Secret Service protection.

So they need to shut up about this.

Trump destroyed this nonsense when asked about it

Trump said something like this.

just because your were once in the Government does not mean you should have taxpayer funded protection forever. These people made a great deal of money while in Government, they can afford to pay for their own security. If they need recommendation I have a couple of numbers they can call

Please, stop! This is entirely too much winning.

I do not now nor have I ever advocated violence, especially when the recipient caused the death of millions of people.

Poor Fauci... what if a foreign government who lost countless numbers of their citizens to the virus, treatments, and vaccines that Fauci helped fund and developed decided to kidnap and put him on trial. That would be a terrible shame! /s

I didn’t even know fauci has SS protection until today.

When the lib media wants to, they really can black out news they don’t want people to know about.....but now that Trump has revoked it......NOW it’s a story.

Fauci’s government pension will be at least $350,000 per year (no, that’s not a typo). So I’m guessing he can afford a bit of security on his own.
