President Trump will appear Thursday on a radio show hosted by his ex-personal lawyer and former nemesis Michael Cohen, according to reports.
The two men famously fell out after Mr. Cohen turned on Mr. Trump in 2018, telling prosecutors he was directed by Mr. Trump to lie about a “hush money” payout to adult entertainer Stormy Daniels during the 2016 election.
Mr. Cohen also provided testimony against Mr. Trump in the 2023 case that found the president guilty of inflating the values of his Mar-a-Lago club and other properties.
Mr. Cohen was sentenced to 36 months in federal prison for campaign finance violations, tax evasion and bank fraud.
Mr. Trump has called his turncoat lawyer a “rat,” “liar,” “bum” and “sleaze bag.”
But Mr. Cohen is now making a comeback with a new job at 770 WABC Radio and wrote in a Substack piece that he “felt pressured and coerced” into testifying against Mr. Trump by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg and New York Attorney General Letitia James.
Mr. Cohen told news outlets he invited Mr. Trump to appear on his new show, “When You Know, You Know,” and the president agreed.
The two began to reconcile earlier this year, Mr. Cohen told WABC. He said the two began speaking again after “the left” had turned against Mr. Cohen for saying he never witnessed or heard of sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein communicating with Mr. Trump, which threw cold water on unfounded claims that the president participated in crimes.
“The far left, they literally went on this absolute war path against me,” Mr. Cohen said.
Mr. Cohen had previously said he planned to leave the country if Mr. Trump won in 2024.
