A media helicopter crashed live on air in Los Angeles, California, as it was filming the scene of a bus crash which happened just hours earlier.
At least one person who was in the parking lot where the helicopter crashed has been killed, according to a Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman.
Firefighters are scrambling to extinguish the fire and recover potential injuries from the scene, helicopter footage from the scene shows.
Authorities have not confirmed which news organisation the chopper belongs to, but Conan Nolan, KNBC's political reporter, said the station was currently not in contact with its aircraft.
The spokesman from the fire department described the state of the helicopter as "pretty well destroyed", but did not confirm if there were any fatalities.
It remains unclear how many were injured in the helicopter crash and what else was struck in the horror accident.
An SUV collided with a Metro bus at 5pm in the Chatsworth area, according to Los Angeles Fire Department officials.
Two people were killed and six other people were injured in the initial accident, but further circumstances leading up to the collision remains unclear.
