Twisted mom who burned her 3-month-old baby to death with a hairdryer gets shameful sentence

A mother in Scotland who burned her baby to death with a hairdryer to the point investigators thought she had been in a raging house fire will serve just six years for the unspeakably heinous murder — and was allowed to party it up on vacation overseas while on bail awaiting trial.

Courtney Gartshore, 28 — who had been drinking while she was solely in charge of the infant — subjected little Dahlia-Rose Gartshore to “significant and sustained heat” on her head and body with the electronic device, fatally injuring her, The Times of London reports.

Emergency services workers who were called to her home in Peterhead, Aberdeenshire on Sept. 30, 2023 said the child’s injuries were so severe they initially thought she was burned in a fire. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Gartshore was arrested in November 2023 after an investigation into the child’s death was launched, and convicted of culpable homicide of her daughter following a trial at the High Court in Aberdeen last month.

“Children are defenseless and should be protected. The death of any child is particularly harrowing, but a child’s death at the hands of a parent is incredibly disturbing,” Detective Inspector James Callander said after her conviction.

“Everyone involved in this investigation was deeply affected by the circumstances of Dahlia-Rose’s death, but our job is to uncover the truth and ensure that the person responsible is brought to justice.”

Scottish Conservatives lambasted the country’s ruling far-left Scottish National Party (SNP) when it came out that Gartshore had been permitted to take an overseas vacation in Turkey last May, despite being on bail for the monstrous killing.

During the trip, her mother’s boyfriend posted photos that included Gartshore, tagging them “family” and “party time,” the outlet writes.

Other pics showed killer mom enjoying a relaxing mud bath, belting it out to karaoke and even flipping the camera the bird.

Conservatives said her being allowed to take the holiday, “sums up the SNP’s relentless weakening of the justice system.”
