A reputed gangbanger eyed in two murders was shot, leaving him clinging to life, and a woman was also wounded when cops opened fire in Brooklyn on Thursday, police and law-enforcement sources said.

The violence unfolded when cops responded to a 911 call about a car wanted for a shooting when they tried to stop it near Utica Avenue and Park Place in Crown Heights around 3:16 p.m, sources said.

A 21-year-old man, who sources said was a member of the Cyprus Backside Gang, was blasted and rushed to an area hospital, where he was listed in critical condition, according to authorities. Obtained by NY Post

He has nine past arrests and was wanted for a slew of violent crimes across Brooklyn including two murders, the sources said.

The woman, who was also injured, wasn’t immediately identified.
