UAE Ambassador Welcomes Emirates Scholar Delegation

Paris, France – A delegation from the Emirates Scholar Center for Research and Studies, subsidiary of Emirates Science and Research Foundation, visited the UAE Embassy in Paris and met with H.E. Fahad Saeed Al Raqbani, UAE Ambassador to the French Republic.

During the meeting, the Emirates Scholar delegation highlighted the center’s key research achievements in recent years and presented a detailed overview of the “Coexistence Platform”, which was launched in partnership with the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence during the 2nd International Dialogue of Civilizations and Tolerance Conference last February, under the patronage of H.E. Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence.

H.E. Al Raqbani commended the Emirates Scholar Center for its significant role in supporting scientific research and promoting values of tolerance and coexistence on an international scale. He stated:

“Scientific research serves as a fundamental pillar in building societies based on dialogue and mutual understanding, reinforcing values of openness and strengthening bridges between cultures. Research efforts that promote knowledge and tolerance are an investment in a more prosperous and stable future”.

Dr. Firas Habbal, President of the Center and Vice-Chancellor of the Board of Trustees, emphasized the crucial role that research institutions play in fostering cultural dialogue and international cooperation. He highlighted that scientific research serves as a fundamental tool in bridging perspectives between nations and shaping policies that contribute to stability and sustainable development.

Dr. Fawaz Habbal, Director-General and Board of Trustees Member, pointed out that knowledge exchange in research opens new horizons for enhancing mutual understanding, aligning with the UAE’s vision of promoting tolerance and peace on a global scale.

At the conclusion of the visit, both parties reaffirmed the importance of continued cooperation to strengthen academic dialogue and build a future founded on knowledge and mutual understanding.
