1. Teacher, teacher! He’s using AI to make fun of us!
by Evan Milenko, writer
California Reps. Adam Schiff and Ro Khanna introduced the AI Ads Act last week, a bill to stop campaigns from using AI to “fraudulently misrepresent” opposing candidates. While nobody wants an arms race of politicians releasing hyperrealistic deepfakes of their opponents saying the N-word, the bill’s text is so broad that it would also ban clearly satirical use of AI. Could this have anything to do with X superstar Charles Curran’s ad campaigns for Steve Hilton and Spencer Pratt, which turned the latter into “Prattman,” facing off against a political rogues gallery of Karen Bass as the Joker and Gavin Newsom as a mad king? News flash, Ro Khanna: We don’t need AI to see that you and the rest of California’s politicians are DC supervillains. But those ads are vastly preferable to watching another politician yap while standing in a cornfield. I look forward to casting you as a moldy apple in my AI brainrot TikTok telenovela.

Last week, Zohran Mamdani’s administration published a searchable database of homeowners who might be subject to his annual “pied-à-terre tax” — and Scott Galloway, a thinkboi who could be called the Jordan Peterson of liberal young men if he were leading them to God (he’s not), isn’t happy about it. “I’ve been doxed,” he said of his inclusion on the list in the Pivot podcast with Kara Swisher, adding: “The question I would have is, other than trying to identify and imply these people have done something wrong — and then, 18 months after a healthcare CEO was executed in the street, published the list — what is the upside here?” Uh, professor, what did you think they meant by “Eat the rich?” Vibes? Here’s a hint: When they show up at your pied-à-terre with pitchforks, don’t offer them Roquefort cheese morsels rolled in crushed nuts. Say a little prayer that the social workers haven’t yet replaced the cops, and call 911.
3. Wisconsin’s future governor hates Santa (probably)
by Nicole Wizman, writer
Democratic socialist, psychiatric outpatient and hater of white people Francesca Hong — currently the Democratic front-runner for governor in Wisconsin — appeared on Fox News on Friday, where she gave a helpful refresher of her positions. To recap, she would not abolish the Senate “at this time.” She does support, however, data-center moratoriums and the possible public ownership of mega corporations, “depending on the type.” These positions aren’t particularly surprising from someone who once wrote that, if it took a pandemic for Americans to start seeing Thanksgiving as colonialism, “so be it.” What is alarming, however, is that Hong’s socialism is trending in the purple state Trump won in 2024: 54% of Wisconsin Dems view democratic socialists favorably. So, Wisconsinites, say goodbye to freedom but also to Christmas! Santa, after all, is an old white man overseeing a manufacturing empire built on unpaid labor… Frannie’s biggest op.
