UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira puts his title on the line against first-time challenger Magomed Ankalaev in the main event at UFC 313 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday night.
Pereira, ESPN's No. 2-ranked pound-for-pound fighter, made three title defenses in 2024. Ankalaev enters the fight riding a 13-fight winning streak. His lone UFC loss was in his promotional debut in May 2018.
In the main event, Justin Gaethje and Rafael Fiziev clash in a rematch of their closely contested March 2023 fight. Gaethje won that fight by majority decision. Fiziez, who is returning from injury, took this fight on short notice after Gaethje's original opponent, Dan Hooker, withdrew due to a hand injury.
