Umamusume is adding to its growing collection of alcoholic beverages, this time giving fans the chance to try a boozy beverage inspired by Tokai Teio’s favorite honey drink.
Back in March, we covered Vodka’s Lemon Sour, an officially licensed alcoholic drink themed around the character Vodka. As you can imagine, the drink proved popular among Uma fans looking to relax at the end of a hard day of racing.
Well, not to be outdone by the competition, fan favorite horse girl Tokai Teio is now joining the bar scene by releasing her very own honey-flavored mead (honey wine).
According to the store page, the drink has been created in collaboration with Japanese brewery Tentaka Shuzo, and is inspired by the honey-based “Hachimi” drink that Tokai Teio loves.

The special Uma alcohol drink is called Tokai Teio Hachimi no Osake, which roughly translates to Tokai Teio Hachimi Liquor and is made using Japanese honey and sake yeast.
Each 720ml bottle comes packaged with a chibi Tokai Teio holding a honey pot, and the drink itself has a distinct golden color that makes it look, well, rather delicious.
Tentaka Shuzo says the drink was designed to be approachable even for those unfamiliar with mead, while also offering enough honey for those with a sweet tooth.
The brewery also noted that the beverage can be enjoyed in a variety of ways, whether it’s drinking it straight, on the rocks, mixed with soda water, or served hot on a winter’s day. Hell, you can even pour it over vanilla ice cream as a dessert topping (the possibilities are almost endless).
CygamesAs for the price, Uma fans in Japan can grab a bottle for ¥4,900, which works out to be roughly $30, making it a whole $10 cheaper than Voka’s Lemon Sour. Sales begin on June 23, and up to three bottles can be purchased per person.
Of course, this version drink is purely for Umamusume trainers of drinking age, and not the horse girls themselves. After all, your hopes of claiming a dominant URA Finale win will be dashed if your prize-winning idol can’t run in a straight line, so do bear this in mind before you head to the racetrack.
This isn’t the first time Umamusume has released products based on the game’s food and drink, as a Japanese convenience store famously released everything from honey bread to a log-shaped chocolate roll cake.
