UN Releases Universal DPI Safeguards Framework to Promote Safe and Inclusive Digital Public Infrastructure

The United Nations has unveiled a new framework aimed at ensuring that DPI is developed and implemented in a way that benefits everyone. The Universal DPI Safeguards Framework provides a set of guidelines for countries to mitigate risks, advance the Sustainable Development Goals, and foster trust and equity in DPI implementations. The launch event showcased how countries such as Rwanda and the East African Community are already adopting these principles.
