California police are searching for a missing teenage girl who may be with a 41-year-old man. 

Adriana Sarah Gonzalez-Rugama, 14, who went missing on September 7,  was last seen in Wilmington, California on the 1300 block of Figueroa Place, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The teen was reported missing earlier this month after her mother noticed she packed a bag of her belongings and left their home.

Gonzalez-Rugama is believed to be in either Los Angeles or Dallas, Texas with the man, police said.

Gonzalez-Rugama is described as 5-foot-1- and  about 136 pounds. She has brown hair and eyes, but her hair might be dyed red. 

She was last seen in a pink shirt, blue jeans and white shoes. 

Data from the California Department of Justice revealed that Los Angeles County has more missing children than any other county in the state. In 2023, they counted 13,484 missing children.

Orange County had the second highest rate of missing children, with 6,586.

The LAPD told DailyMail.com that there have been no updates on the case since the initial statement on September 13.
