Pezeshkian on Tuesday had a meeting with a group of experts and officials of the cultural heritage and tourism sector on the occasion of the return of hundreds of ancient Persian clay tablets from the US.
In comments at the meeting, the president took a swipe at the US and Europe for founding the “savage” regime of Israel in the region and sponsoring it.
He also lashed out at the Zionist regime for refusing to comply with any rules in its campaign of massacre and for advocating human rights at the same time.
Pezeshkian said the self-proclaimed supporters of human rights that criticize Iran must be reprimanded for their silence on the Israeli killing of women and children.
In remarks on October 2, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei slammed the presence of the US and certain European countries as the main cause of the West Asia’s problems.
“The root of the problem and the fundamental cause of conflicts and wars in the region lies is the presence of the United States and certain European countries that falsely advocate for peace and tranquility. If they leave this region, the conflicts and wars would come to an end, allowing the countries to manage their affairs and coexist in peace and prosperity,” the Leader said.
