She’s back!
Olympic skiing legend Lindsey Vonn made the announcement Thursday that she was nixing her retirement to make a comeback to the sport, rejoining the U.S. Ski Team. Her intentions will be to race again at 40 years old, as well as six years following her last Olympics. On her resume, Vonn has three Olympic medals, including golds in the downhill and a bronze in super-G, both won at the 2010 Vancouver Games. In the 2018 Pyeongchang Games, she won another medal in the downhill, this time a bronze. On top of that, she also has four World Cup championships and eight medals in the world championships.
Vonn was the record-holder for women with 82 race wins in the World Cup until fellow American Mikaela Shiffrin broke it. Shiffrin, still active, has now pushed up that record to 97. The figure is ranked No. 1 out of any Alpine ski racer in the sport’s history.

I’m happy to see Lindsey Vonn back, but I honestly have no idea how this is gonna go.
Sure, it could go great, and I hope it does, but the fact that she has a bad history of injuries — broken arms, broken legs, concussions, torn knee ligaments, partial knee replacement surgery and that’s not even naming them all — concerns me.
But I hope she proves my blogging ass wrong. I guess we’ll see.
