‘Vanderpump Rules’ alum Dayna Kathan comes out as ‘late-in-life lesbian’ to celebrate Pride Month

“Vanderpump Rules” alum Dayna Kathan is celebrating Pride Month by coming out.

“Shout out to my fellow late in life lesbians!! HAPPY PRIDE!!! 🧡🤍🩷,” the former reality star wrote beneath a series of Instagram pictures on Sunday.

In the shots, Kathan, 35, sported a black tank with the words “gay” written across her chest in white lettering.

The podcaster posed with different friends out at a bar, sitting on a stoop and standing against a grass wall.

Kathan’s former “Vanderpump Rules” co-stars quickly flocked to the comments section to show their support.

Ariana Madix, 40, wrote, “ilysm!!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️,” while, Katie Maloney, 40, — who co-hosts the “Disrespectfully” podcast with Kathan — added, “My favorite lesbian! I love you so much!!!!!”

Scheana Shay, 41, simply said “Ilyyyyyyyy,” alongside a Pride flag emoji.

Kathan appeared on the hit Bravo show in 2020 during Season 8.

During her time on the series, the TV personality came out as bisexual while chatting with Madix, who also identifies as bisexual.

“That was my first LA Pride ever though… but then I also came out as bi,” Kathan began while on an episode in February 2020 (filmed in June 2019). “I just feel so much lighter now that that’s out there.”

She noted in her confessional, “I think that I knew in middle school that I was different. I just remember noticing both genders.”

Madix added in the episode that Pride 2019 marked her first “Pride publicly out as a bisexual queen.”

“Before I would be at Pride with my friends and I’d be like ‘This feels weird. Why am I like in the closet at Pride every year?'”

In a Wednesday Instagram Story, Kathan further detailed her coming out journey.

“My journey with queerness wasn’t linear,” she expressed, “and at times very scary and confusing.” 

Kathan said that while she had to “unpack A LOT of s–t to get to this point,” she urges others to take their time if they are struggling.

“You will get there. and it’s pretty fab on the other side,” she gushed.

Maloney herself, meanwhile, clarified her sexuality while on Season 11 of “Vanderpump Rules” in 2024.

After making out with her then-husband, Tom Schwartz, and a female friend named Tori, Maloney confessed that she had never dated a girl.

However, she said that she had hooked up with a woman before.

Maloney noted that she would “never put any type of label” on herself.

“I like people,” the Bravo alum insisted.

In a confessional, she future detailed her sexuality.

“I’ve always had an attraction to women, but I was with Tom Schwartz forever, so I wasn’t really acting on any of that,” Maloney expressed. “But he’s not gonna stop me from doing anything now.”

The exes were married from 2016 to 2022.

Maloney is currently dating Sleeping with Sirens guitarist Nick Martin.
