Variety to Host Inaugural Content Meets Commerce Summit

Variety will host the inaugural Content Meets Commerce Summit, presented by Kinesso, in New York on Oct. 7. The invite-only, half-day summit will explore the intersection of commerce, content, digital platforms and consumer buying behaviors. Keynotes and panel conversations will feature producer, host, actor Busy Phillips and executives from Netflix, QVC, Uber, United Airlines, Instacart, CVS, KINESSO and IPG Commerce, among others.

The keynote conversation with Busy Phillips, host of “Busy This Week” on QVC, and Stacie Tedesco, GM Streaming, Qurate Retail Group, moderated by Variety co-editor-in-chief Cynthia Littleton, will explore the evolution of QVC and consumer audience behaviors.

A panel, “Is it Retail or Commerce?”, will feature Ashan Khan, head of agency partnerships, Uber Advertising; Aaron Gallagher, managing director and head of sales, Kinective Media by United Airlines; Parbinder Dhariwal, VP, CVS Media Exchange (CMX); and Suzanne Skop, senior director of agency and off-platform partnerships, Instacart. The conversation will be moderated by Amie Owen, global chief growth officer, Kinesso.

A fireside chat with IPG leadership, including Jeriad Zoghby, chief commerce strategy officer of IPG, moderated by Brian Steinberg, senior TV editor, Variety will discuss exciting advancements and investments the company is making in the commerce space.

The day will close with a Netflix deep-dive on the shoppable integration they debuted on “Emily in Paris” featuring Magno Herran, VP, global brand & marketing partnerships, Netflix interviewed by Todd Spangler, business editor.
