Vic Reeves has been rushed hospital by ambulance following a medical emergency at a wedding celebration in Dorset.
The comedian, whose birth name is Jim Moir, became unwell at the Hotel du Vin in Poole whilst attending a friend's nuptials last weekend.
Reports suggest Reeves, 67, had pushed himself too hard during the festivities.
Paramedics were called to the upmarket venue after he suffered what witnesses described as a dramatic deterioration in his condition.
The incident prompted considerable alarm amongst fellow guests at the celebration.
A witness at the luxury hotel described how the mood changed dramatically during the celebration.
According to the source speaking to the Daily Mail, Reeves had been in good spirits entertaining fellow guests.
"Vic was telling jokes and entertaining people - and obviously everyone was hitting the bar as the party went on just as you'd expect," the source said.

"But suddenly it appeared to take a bit of a turn for the worse – there was a commotion in the middle of the group, and staff were being asked to call for an ambulance which turned out to be for Vic, who wasn't looking at all well. It all happened very quickly."
"The next thing, he was being wheeled out by paramedics. It all seemed to shift from lots of laughter to serious concern pretty fast."
Emergency services arrived at the coastal location where medical professionals attended to the television star.
He was subsequently rushed to a nearby hospital for urgent medical assessment.
The collapse sparked immediate worry for Reeves, given his medical history.
Those present witnessed the swift transformation from a joyful wedding atmosphere to one of acute anxiety about the entertainer's wellbeing.
The television personality disclosed in 2021 doctors had identified an inoperable growth in his brain.
The tumour, medically termed a vestibular schwannoma, has resulted in complete hearing loss on his left side.
Speaking on The Adam Buxton Podcast, Reeves explained: "I've got what's called a vestibular schwannoma. It's a tumour in my head. It's like the size of a grape, so they just have to keep an eye on it."
He elaborated: "It's benign. They can't remove it – they can shrink it, or they can just leave it and keep an eye on it, and that's what they're doing."
The condition has permanently affected his hearing. "I've gone completely deaf, 100 per cent deaf, in the left ear, and it will never come back. It's dead – absolutely completely gone," he said.
Reeves revealed the tumour has even impacted his passion for birdwatching, noting: "I like to go out birdwatching and I never know where the birds are. I can hear them, but I don't know what direction they are."
