U.S. Vice President JD Vance and his wife, Usha Vance, announced on Sunday the birth of their fourth child—a boy.
Vance said their baby, Alec Neel Vance, was born on the morning of July 19 at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Maryland. The couple have three other children: Ewan, 9; Vivek, 6; and Mirabel, 4.
“Usha and the baby are happy and healthy, and our kids are overjoyed to meet their little brother,” the vice president said in a statement posted on X.
They also thanked the doctors and medical staff at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and the White House Medical Unit for the care they provided.
The pair met while attending Yale Law School and married in 2014. Vance was born and raised in Middletown, Ohio, while Usha, the daughter of Indian immigrants, was born in California.
