A wild clip of Grand Theft Auto being remade in Fortnite has been going viral, but anyone believing it’s GTA 6 should absolutely change their mind.

Fortnite has given players the tools to run wild and create different maps, game modes, and pretty much everything else they can think up. Those tools have been expanded on in recent months, allowing for even more creativity.

It has reached a point where Rockstar Games have even started reaching out to Fortnite creators for their plans for GTA Online once GTA 6 launches.

Some Grand Theft Auto fans have even fallen for fake clips of GTA remakes and parodies in the battle royale at times.

Viral Fortnite GTA clip is not from GTA 6

Fortnite YouTuber Brux has had a clip do the rounds on social media where they’re inside a GTA-looking lobby, even using a skin that looks like Lucia from the upcoming game.

In the short clip, Brux is taking part in a car chase before launching and taking a jump onto a roof. From there, they get into a shootout with the police.

If it wasn’t obvious before then, the shootout is what really exposes the Fortnite stuff. The pistol is, well, the handgun from Fortnite, and when one shot lands on the police, you can see the classic blue shield popup from the battle royale.

That’s all before the wild build that the police officer goes on to reach the roof themselves.

As noted, the clip has been reposted by a number of accounts on X (formerly Twitter) linking it to GTA 6. It obviously is not a leaked clip from the upcoming game, despite what some may say.

In fact, the YouTuber noted that under their video. “This is made in a 2018 engine and inside Fortnite. Took 9 months…,” they said.

We’re still waiting for Rockstar to say literally anything about GTA 6. Some respected voices in the Grand Theft Auto community believe we’re not too far away from trailer two. So, hopefully, things kick into gear soon.
