Jimothy, the viral mutant raccoon who has taken over the internet, has been immortalized by a number of mods that add him to games like Skyrim and Stardew Valley.
Ever since he was spotted roaming the streets of Seattle, Jimothy has become something of a celebrity. The raccoon was born with a genetic issue that causes his spine to be much shorter than usual, making him closer to the size of a small dog and giving him a hunched appearance.
Despite locals being understandably confused, the internet has fallen in love with the cuddly creature, and social media is full of different sightings.
Now, some fans have ensured that Jimothy’s fame lasts far longer than 15 minutes by modding him into popular games.
Jimothy immortalized by Skyrim and Stardew Valley mods
As spotted by Polygon, Nexusmods user ‘triptherift‘ created Jimothy in Skyrim, with the mod adding him as one of the many animals roaming settlements. This means players can take a break from their duties as Dragonborn to pet the raccoon in Riverwood.
Stardew Valley players have also gotten in on the act by finding a way to get him onto their farms. A mod from ‘kirbysteaks‘ adds “Jimothy the raccoon as a farm animal purchasable from Marnie.” This essentially allows players to have an “army” of the creature, with plans to bring a baby version in the future.
kirbysteaksIf you do bring him onto your farm, he will occasionally provide you with gifts, which tend to be trash and seeds, but can also be Treasure.
Meanwhile, ‘SmolHooman‘ created Jimothy as an actual in-game pet. To increase your friendship level, you’ll need to keep him fed and watered, which you’ll no doubt want to do anyway.
These aren’t the only games that have shown Jimothy some love, as he was also added to Dungeons and Dragons as an official NPC.
